| Burning Tips |
| |
- If your candle is smoking or giving off soot it's most likely because your wick is too long. Always make sure your wick is kept to no more than 1/8" long. For once, shorter is better.
- Try to burn your candle for about 4 hours at a time.
- Extinguish your candle and allow it to cool before replacing the lid.

Candles aren't super complicated things, but there are a few general guidelines you should always follow when burning one.
- Never leave a candle unattended. Keep it in sight at all times.
- Keep the candle (and the matches or lighter) out of the reach of children and pets.
- Do not place near flammable objects such as curtains, walls, etc.
- Place on a protected, heat resistant, level surface.
- Keep the wick trimmed short to 1/8" at all times, including each time the candle is relit.
- Keep candle free of wick trimmings, matches, or other foreign matter that could be a fire hazard.
- Avoid burning the candle in drafts.
- Do not handle the tin if it is hot. Hot wax can burn you and may stain fabrics and surfaces.
